| The 2007 Massachusetts Waterfowl Stamp Print is being offered in two very distinct versions, the Traditional Edition and the Artists Proof Edition. In the Traditional Edition the image is presented in a "tradional manner", meaning that the image is centered on a white paper background. In contrast the Artist Proof Edition has a toned background similar to that of the actual stamp. The Process for both of these prints is the same. Both editions for the first time are being printed using the process of digital fine art printing, a process commonly known as Giclee (ghi-clay). Each image is printed on an acid free watercolor paper with pigmented inks, that hold color far longer than the 4 color lithographs of previous editions. | | | Artist Proof Remarque started in goache | | | | Traditional Print framed with a pencil remarque Color on matting is closer than previous photo | Remarques
Pricing Pricing is dependent upon the type of remarque and the level of depth that is intended to be achieved. For regular color remarque they start at $125 and go up from there. "Bosco" is an example of a $250, the main difference between these two is that although the drake goldeneye looks like a goldeneye it isn't a specific bird. In contrast a sporting dog needs to look like that particular sporting dog. Embellishments of the scene or more elaborate backgrounds and lighting will also dictate a higher price. | | | Flying Goldeneye Drake color remarque $150, 125 for swimming | | | | "Bosco", color remarque $250.00 | |
